At Jefferson United Methodist Church (JUMC), we are a dedicated community rooted in love, service, and justice, where we meet newcomers with warmth and longtime members who work together to make things happen. We welcome everyone and stand firmly with our LGBTQ+ neighbors, reject racism, and strive to be a safe, inclusive space. For us, faith is reflected in our actions, which is why we serve our Community through kindness every week. There’s no hierarchy here—just a shared table where your presence and gifts truly matter. Our mission
At JUMC, we aim to be a safe place where everyone can belong and serve. Grounded in the love of Jesus, we welcome every person without condition, uplift the marginalized, and put our faith into action through community outreach, shared worship, and compassionate service.

Our story
We cultivate a welcoming environment where Community and inclusivity thrive. Our members engage in various roles, from dedicated Sunday School educators to compassionate volunteers at our food pantry. We honor our traditions while embracing fresh approaches that inspire growth in understanding the Gospel. Join us for worship, a hearty breakfast, or meaningful conversations, and experience a genuine sense of belonging.
What We Do
At JUMC, we live out our faith through worship and action. We gather weekly to grow spiritually, connect with one another, and share in God’s love, but our work doesn’t stop at the church doors. We worship together, serve our neighbors, stand for justice, and care for one another!
Worship Together
Every Sunday, we gather around the table for open Bible discussion, heartfelt worship, and shared prayer. Our services are welcoming, participatory, and grounded in love.
Serve Our Neighbors
We serve our neighbors through our weekly food pantry, monthly community breakfast, fellowship hour, and community garden and lawn care.
Stand For Justice
We fiercely defend the dignity of all people. That includes standing with our LGBTQ+ neighbors, working against systemic racism, and creating a church where everyone is safe, seen, and celebrated.
Care for Eachother
From pastoral care and simple presence—we walk with each other through life’s joys and challenges.
